Second Shot
Katherine "Kat" McDonald thought she had left her small Ohio hometown behind when she went out into the world to play pro soccer. When she gets word that her mentor, Dot, has died, Kat reluctantly returns home for the wake, only to learn she has inherited "Dot's Hole," the only gay bar in three counties. Bennett reunited with We're Getting Nowhere alum Dara Nai to collaborate on the indie sitcom, Second Shot. With Nai as the show's head writer, and Bennett executive producing, the show premiered to sold out audiences at The Dinah in April of 2013, and Outfest Los Angeles. Second Shot went on to win "Best Feature" at LFest in the United Kingdom. |

We Have to Stop Now
Without the help of sponsors or major investors, Bennett produced We Have To Stop Now for less than 3K. The series documents two lesbian therapists' struggle to maintain the pretense of staying together when a documentary film crew invades their home after the success of their book "How to Succeed in Marriage Without Even Trying." Both seasons enjoyed successful, worldwide festival runs from 2009 to 2012, with screenings in Los Angeles' Outfest, San Francisco's Frameline, South Africa, London and Torino. |

for them
Created for National Coming Out Day, for them is a tribute to members of the LGBT community lost to suicide. Set against excerpts from lesbian filmmaker Vanessa Libertad Garcia's public suicide note, for them captures our community's collective response of frustration and hopelessness. |
